Kidney injury sent Bears RB Wolfe to IR list
Another player to end his season by being placed on injured reserve- the Chicago Bears backup running back Garrett Wolfe’s kidney injury ended his hope for more playing time or possible starting chance, which goes to Kahlil Bell, who has been elevated by the Bears from the practice squad to replace Wolfe.
The team listed a kidney injury for Wolfe. They told reporters that the running back suffered a lacerated kidney on the opening kickoff of a game against the Arizona Cardinals on Nov. 8, finishing his season with 22 carries for 120 yards, one touchdown, nine special teams tackles and two receptions for 12 yards.
Two other injured players playing in Bears jerseys were listed as doubtful for Sunday’s game against the Philadelphia Eagles: tight end Desmond Clark is taking care of a neck injury and safety Kevin Payne had a back injury.
